Schoolhouse is a curriculum publishing platform. Our launch product is From Sand to Agents — a K-12 Artificial Intelligence curriculum aligned to Virginia’s CS standards and VDOE AI guidance.

Mission

Every student deserves a coherent explanation of AI

AI literacy is no longer optional — it’s a basic requirement for informed citizenship and career readiness. Yet most K-12 schools have no vertical curriculum that treats artificial intelligence as a teachable subject with a clear progression from kindergarten through graduation.

Schoolhouse authors rigorous, spiraled curriculum that any non-specialist teacher can pick up and teach, publishes it to web and print from a single structured source, and refreshes it annually.

The curriculum

From Sand to Agents — K-12 Artificial Intelligence

Seventeen units authored across K-2, 3-5, and 6-8 — live and ready to teach today. Each unit ships with a student lesson, teacher guide, assessment with rubric, differentiation and access notes, vocabulary, printable materials, and a family letter. VA CS SOL and VDOE AI Guidance alignment is declared in source front-matter and rendered automatically in the standards crosswalk.

How it’s built

One structured source, rendered everywhere

Every lesson, teacher guide, and family letter lives as structured MDX with YAML front-matter. Web pages, print-ready teacher-edition PDFs, and gated downloads are all rendered from the same files — so web and print never drift apart, and standards alignment is always derived from the source, never entered twice.

Git history is the changelog. Every content change is a commit; every claim is auditable.
